Steep Slope Grooming

Preparation of ski runs is getting ever more sophisticated. Special new winch systems simplify the preparation of very steep and difficult slopes. He has worked in management positions for 3 of the 4 aerial tramway manufacturing companies, and most recently, was President of Leitner Lifts USA, Inc., which has installed over 8,000 aerial cableway systems worldwide, within the group. Mr. Gardner has been directly involved with the planning and installation of over 100 aerial cableway systems in the U.S., Canada, Alaska and the Orient and he is a contributing technical writer to Ski Area Management magazine.
